The Ministry of Education owns and operates it, serving as the sole platform for uploading school placements for public access. Since its initial launch, the Ministry of Education has deactivated several of the portal’s uses and functions.

No. 1. Placement Checking:
You can use the portal to check the placements of BECE graduates each year. It is the main function of the portal. A successful candidate will find the school he or she is placed in, the program offered, the type of accommodation, the prospectus, and the enrollment form.
No. 2. Self-Placement Module
On the CSSPS Portal (cssps.gov.gh), all students who passed the BECE but were not placed can easily use the self-placement module to select a new school, program, and accommodation and get placed. The self-placement module allows students to switch between schools and programs until they report to the selected school to begin the enrolment process. Once the enrollment process starts, you cannot make any changes again.
3. It provides SHS and TVET heads with school level placement details.
Following the release of the placements, all public SHS and TVET institutions have the opportunity to review and familiarize themselves with the candidates assigned to their schools. A special portal known as the Heads of SHS/TVI Portal shares the placement data with head teachers.

No. 4: The buying placement checker
Initially, the portal served as a platform for the sale and purchase of school placement checkers. We have removed this function from the site. You can no longer buy checkers from the site.
No. 5. Contact the CSSPS
You can contact the CSSPS officials for support with anything related to school placement; however, in recent years, the call center has replaced this function. GES and the Ministry of Education will provide one or more contacts upon the release of school placements for assistance with any related matters.
